HOW IT ALL STARTED...
From little acorns!
As huge fans of getting all dressed up, we realised that we had accumulated quite a large collection of costumes and accessories. Friends and family always knew where to come to borrow something they needed and we were only too happy to help out!
This sparked the idea of loaning our costumes out to the wider community and we started doing this at home and adding to our ever growing collection.
WE GREW AND OUTGREW THE SHOP
In 2018 we had the opportunity to purchase the stock from the (now closed) Barcombe based business "Sublime to the Ridiculous"
It was obvious that dedicated premises were required and in May 2018 we moved to 2 Church Street in Uckfield, which is where we stayed for five years. Our dynamic costume range continually grew as we kept up with the trends and added bespoke outfits as required.
Our shop was described as an Aladdin's Cave but after five years we were bursting at the seams with 100s of costumes and accessories for sale, including wigs, hats, face paint, moustaches, masquerade masksand two further floors of fancy dress costumes to hire or buy. .
...And in 2023 found new premises
In 2023 we decided to relocate. We have exactly the same phone number, website, email address and social media pages but we have moved our amazing stock to a unit near Isfield. The only difference is that everything is by appointment now. There is still absolutely no obligation to buy or hire and we are not at all pushy!
